The 13th Annual Strawberry Festival of the Haldeman Mansion Preservation Society will be held on Sunday, June 3 from noon to 4 pm at the mansion, 230 Locust Grove Road, Bainbridge. Admission is free and with a nominal fee for parking. Food is our main focus with a variety of dishes with fresh local strawberries, including strawberry sundaes, strawberries with cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, milkshakes and pink strawberry lemonade. Other food choices include hot dogs, bratwurst, chicken corn soup, chili, and assorted drinks. Our music is provided by Beverly Conrad, the Fiddlerwoman from Selinsgrove. Also new this year is Paul Raber, Senior Archaeologist & Director of Archaeological Service with Heberling Associates, Inc. Raber will do a power point presentation inside the mansion at 1:30 pm. His topic is "Native Americans at Locust Grove:Contact & Change." There will be a silent auction from local business to benefit the Heating Fund. Winners will be announced at 4 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Haldeman Mansion.
