Stu Huggens is no stranger to the Lancaster music scene, but it’s been a while—about 20 years, in fact—since he and the Susquehanna River Band have played for local audiences. In their heyday, the Susquehanna River Band performed for two summers as the opening act at the Pequea Silver Mines, opening shows for all of the country music stars who performed there. They also played the Hershey Arena, Farm Show Arena, and the Baltimore Civic Center with artists like Charlie Daniels, the Allman Brothers, and Reba McEntire. They released four albums and four singles and appeared at the Grand Ole Opry and on the Nashville Now show. The original SRB lineup—Stu Huggens, songwriter, lead singer, guitar, and banjo; George Keyser on lead guitar; Dave Huxta on bass; Jeff Stoner on drums; and Larry Huslin on keyboards—will perform many of their most popular original songs during this special reunion concert. Also along for the ride will be Ralph Miller, who replaced Huslin on keyboards, as well as a few special guests.
