On your tour in the museum, you will begin your visit in the Lukens Executive Office Building, built in 1902 to accommodate the growing administrative needs of the company.
Inside the office building, you can view exhibits about the Lukens and Huston families, the steel making process, and the many very recognizable products around the country that have been made with Lukens steel (like the Space Needle, Veteran’s Stadium, the USS Nautilus and the deep sea submersible Alvin.) in addition to special exhibits that change several times per year.
Touring the rest of the museum, you will see the three mansions of the Lukens/Huston families: Brandywine Mansion, Terracina and Graystone. Visit the steelworker's memorial featuring one of the tridents from the World Trade Center, view our narrow-gauge locomotive, as well as our Navy sonarsphere, and admire the historic railroad bridge which spans the Brandywine River Valley. Your tour can include a stop at our firehouse, where you can view an original Lukens fire engines from 1947 and 1965 and an original Lukens ambulance from 1965.
