It’s that time again – when Lancaster’s countryside comes alive with the colors of fall. Lancaster is waiting for you to discover all the hidden treasures of its harvest season. Hit the road for that spontaneous getaway you’ve been meaning to take. You’ll likely catch the Amish in the midst of plowing fields and will love the variety of seasonal produce and homemade sweets at farmers’ markets and roadside stands. Spend a lazy day strolling the streets of charming towns and villages, or hop right into the action of harvest-time events.

Farmers Markets
Fall is a great time to visit our bountiful farmers markets and roadside stands. Our markets start bustling bright and early, and are always stocked with produce fresh from the fields, succulent fruits, local meats and cheeses, and the sweetest baked goods. They are also some of the best places to pick up local delicacies like home-made jellies, relishes and chow-chow. You can even grab a bouquet of fresh flowers, many of which are grown right here in Lancaster County.

Corn Mazes
Reconnect with nature and navigate through tall walls of greenery. Whether you’re looking for a team bonding experience or seeking to solve complex problems, these Lancaster corn mazes cater to challengers of all ages. Head to Family Fun at Oregon Dairy to partake in their corn maze and pumpkin patch, opening September 22nd.

Covered Bridges
Just the sight of the historic covered bridges of PA brings to mind thoughts of old charm and romance. And in Lancaster County - the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country - we have plenty of both! Sometimes referred to as "kissing bridges" because of the many couples who have strolled across them over the years, our area offers more than two dozen of these architectural beauties each with its own inviting story.

Barnyard Kingdom
Throughout the pathways of the corn maze, you will find pictures, clues and games to make this learning process fun for the entire family! After you have mastered the maze, experience the rest of our many activities including swine races, the petting zoo, hay rides, and much more. Lancaster Ghost Tour

Every year Kitchen Kettle Village pays tribute to tailgating season with a two-day food festival filled with delicious and sometimes crazy events. There are plenty of activities for young and old, families and couples alike.

Legacy of Sleepy Hollow at the Strasburg Rail Road

The Spooky Scoot

Lancaster County has long been known for its Amish farms and beautiful landscape, but when the sun goes down the back roads take on a different look. See Nevermore at Grenta Theatre
The Fantastic Terrors of Edgar Allan Poe is an outdoor theatrical experience where the short stories and poems of Edgar Allan Poe come alive as the sun goes down on the quiet Pennsylvania Chautauqua. Tales of revenge, obsession, and deception will be brought to life by characters stepping out of the shadows, pleading their cases as audiences unearth their strange motives.

Denver Fair
Enjoy free entertainment, contests, rides, animal exhibits, fruit & vegetables displays, commercial exhibits and craft exhibits. Admission is free. Parking charges benefit the local Fire Company and Boy Scout Troop, and Church.

Solanco Fair
Held every September, this fair features animal, produce and craft displays, a parade, and delicious food.

Ephrata Fair
Started in 1919, the Ephrata Fair is the largest street fair in Pennsylvania! It's a time for folks to reacquaint with old friends, indulge in their favorite fair foods, browse the many exhibits and enjoy the variety of concessions, games, and rides.

West Lampeter Fair
Held in September, this community fair features community spirit, competitions, tasty food, antique tractor pulls, livestock shows, and more!

New Holland Farmer's Fair
The four day event kicks off with the Spectacle of Bands Parade when excitement and attendance is at its peak. There is something for everyone throughout the week, including delicious fair food, rides, games, and more.

Manheim Community Farm Show
The Manheim Community Farm Show exists to promote agriculture, crafts and competition in a friendly environment that encourages family values and cooperation. Enjoy free admission and free registration to all exhibits.

Harvest Days
Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum hosts Harvest Days which is a culmination of a year's worth of hard work with demonstrations, crafts, wagon rides, and food to immerse yourself in Pennsylvania German traditions.
