Founded over 20 years ago in 1988, by Tom and Anna Mary Burk. It is now currently owned by Bob Rothermel, who has worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years. Bob has worked with the Lapp family for most of those years. He began his cooking career at Andy’s Catering for 6 years. He then moved on to Lapp’s Family Restaurant with Anna Mary’s brothers, Wilmer and Christy Lapp for 10 years. Following Lapp’s Family Restaurant, He went with Christy Lapp to C.R.Lapp’s Family Restaurant in Quarryville. Bob worked with him for 5 years, while he desired a restaurant of his own which brought him to T. Burk & Co. where he is today.
Bob has known Tom and Anna Mary Burk since he began working with the Lapp Family, and believes they have established an excellent business, and can only hope to add to their excellence.
Bob cooks up traditional local meals and creative dishes with a unique flair and oversees the dining room to ensure excellent customer service. Our kitchen and dining room staff work hard to make sure everyone who eats at T. Burk & Co. Deli Restaurant has an enjoyable experience.
Along with our loyal clientele, local publications have taken notice of our delicious and affordable menu and excellent staff, including the Lancaster New Era and The Penny Saver. We were also honored to serve the media traveling with George W. Bush when he visited Lancaster County in 2004.
