Sacred: Symbolism of the Religious Concept of Time
Runs April 22 through December 31, 2016
You can see time and hear time. But did you know that you can even smell time?
This exhibit looks at how the five major religions view the passage of time as it relates to their own practices. It will use objects from the Museum and explain the inherant symbolism of these timepieces. Time has and will always be an important aspect to all religions. This exhibit is included with museum admission.
The National Watch and Clock Museum launches Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America. Admission is free for active duty military members (ID required) and their families (up to five) from Memorial Day, May 30, through Labor Day, September 5, 2016.
