The 7th largest craft non-profit in the county, the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen is headquartered in its Center of American Craft on North Queen St, downtown Lancaster. The Guild's Center of American Craft is a hub for anyone with an appreciation of fine craftsmanship. It has a store brimming with fine American crafts from its members, an exhibition gallery that hosts monthly exhibits, and classrooms for learning a wide-range of workshops on craft-making techniques.
The Center of American Craft has the area's only jewelry studio offering classes to the public. Other hands-on workshops cover topics such as fiber dyeing, clay hand-building, woodturning, woodcarving, precious metal clay, encaustics, enameling, sewing, glass fusing and more.
The Guild also hosts Lancaster city's largest street festival of craft on the second Sunday of June and an annual fine craft fair on the second weekend in November at the Lancaster Convention Center. Both events showcase American-made craft at its finest.
