The Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society of Pennsylvania has two main goals. The first is to do all we can to keep Pennsylvania's covered bridges in good shape for ourselves and for future generations. The other goal is get out and enjoy these bridges! They are symbols of days gone by, but most are still in use, with many being well over one hundred years old.
Our Society usually meets the first Sunday of each month near Lancaster. Meetings at special events like our picnic, anniversary, and Christmas dinners, and annual bridge safari are held at various locations in Pennsylvania.
Members receive issues of Wooden Covered Spans, the Society's magazine, and Pennsylvania Crossings, the official newsletter of the Society.
