Full-Time Librarian | National Toy Train Museum 

Full-time - 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM)

To lead and perform a wide variety of customer service and library duties in a library setting; to assist Library guests in making effective use of the Library’s resources, collections and programs; to assist all guests in research; selecting, developing, cataloguing and classifying library resources; using library systems and specialist computer applications, ensuring that library services meet the needs of all users, managing budgets and resources.

Functions: Greet guests and provide directional assistance, answer telephones and provide routine information; Assist guests with reference questions as needed; Operate standard office equipment and perform general clerical work; Offer programs promoting the toy train hobby to local institutions, including schools, libraries, senior centers and civic groups; Process incoming donations and determine items that meet the Library’s mission; Accession new material; Maintain the Library database; Implement and maintain program of conservation and preservation of archival; material in the library using conventional practices; Attend Library Committee meetings

Skills:Ability to communicate clearly with patrons, co-workers and supervisors; Good knowledge of library procedures and practices; Good skill in typing and the ability to do data entry; Considerable ability to pay attention to detail

Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent; Bachelor of Arts recommended but not required; previous librabrian experience preferred

Part-time Barista | Courtyard Cafe on Main

Qualifications: Has a passion for, and is knowledgeable of coffee and espresso. Must be able to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced work environment. Must display honesty, integrity, and accountability. Must maintain a clean, organized and efficient work space while keeping baristas informed of any and all changes. 

Specific Tasks:
- Greet guests in a very prompt, warm, and friendly manner, informing them of any current promotions or daily specials. 
- Prepare all coffee and beverage drinks while maintaining and upholding the integrity and the quality of all Courtyard Cafe recipes. 
- Follow HAACP food handling procedures
- Follow FIFO inventory procedures
- Follow and maintain preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules
- Communicate, and work well, with management staff and other team members
- Assist other team members, as the need arises
- Keep all areas of station clean, organized, and stocked
- Serve as a host/cashier simultaneously as a barista

Education - High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required. Must be able to read, write and speak English
Experience - Some experience is preferred, but not required
Physical - Able to stand, and be on your feet for long periods of time. Able to bend, twist, stoop, and lift 40 lbs. or more. Have the ability to work in hot fast paced environments. 

Must be willing to work some evenings, weeekends & holidays.

Group Sales Manager | American Music Theatre 

AMT is seeking a Group Sales Manager to develop and manage our Group Sales Program. This is a direct sales position responsible for developing relationships and strategies to generate sales to a variety of groups to meet revenue goals for AMT's programming, including AMT Original Shows and Celebrity Concerts.

Candidates should have at least 3 years sales and management experience in theatre, performing arts, or in the group tour/travel industry, and possess a strong initiative and leadership skills; Proven ability to sell shows and concerts or similar product; strong initiative to recruit, build, and cultivate relationships in the group tour industry. Candidates must have effective and developed communication skills on phone, email, and in person with outside clients and inside management and co-workers. Website, ticketing system, and trade show experience preferred. Occasional travel required. College degree preferred.

Strasburg Rail Road Red Cap | Strasburg Rail Road

The Red Cap at the Strasburg Rail Road is a key member of the Station department, providing valuable front-line interaction with customers. The Red Cap is responsible for giving direct service to our customers by offering guidance and information. The Red Cap assists in escorting and attending to groups. The Red Cap is also responsible for collecting customer information for the purpose of surveying and evaluating customer satisfaction. Essentially, the Red Cap is charged with serving the customer and enhancing customer experience to the greatest extent possible.

- Fun, outgoing personality and a positive attitude
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to unexpected circumstances
- Ability to stand/walk for the majority of a 4 to 6 hour shift
- Though not required, an interest in history and/or railroading is a plus. 

Working Conditions: 
- Position is part-time and seasonal
- Training for this position will be on-the-job
- The length of the shift is typically 4 to 5 hours based on SRC's hours of operation
- Breaks are on-the-job, as time and duties allow
- If a situation arises where help is needed, a 2-way radio is provided so that the Standby, Station, or Mall Attendant can be summoned for help
- Smoking is not permitted while ou are in the public domain area of the railroad

Tour Guide | Amish Experience

Seeking personable Amish Country tour guides for our 2017 season! This position requires conducting driving tours onboard our 14-passenger mini-shuttles and as a step-on for motorcoach groups, as well as leading tours through our Amish Homestead & Schoolroom, and giving theater introductions. Candidates must be customer service oriented, friendly, willing to learn and to talk in front of large groups of people. Emphasis on driving safety a must, and a clean driving record required. Bilingual a plus!

These are seasonal, part-time positions. Schedule is flexible, but some weekend availability required. No prior knowledge of the Amish needed…we will train!
