Enjoy the Arts & Culture

It’s chilly outside but the theatres in Lancaster, PA are warm and ready to entertain. Book your tickets for one (or two) of the great shows on stage this February, from The Savannah Sipping Society & Grumpy Old Men at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre to Calling All Kates at the Prima Theatre.

American Music Theatre has some fantastic one-night-only performances this month including Refugee: The Ultimate Tom Petty Tribute Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Scott McCreery, and Masters of Illusion.

The Phillips Museum of Art at Franklin & Marshall College is a Lancaster hidden gem that’s hosting intriguing exhibitions throughout the month of February, including the Sonya Clark: Finding Freedom exhibit.

Head to Lititz in February for their Fire & Ice event over President’s Day weekend– where the community gathers for ice sculpture displays, a chili cook-off, and a family-friendly festival. It’s also a great time of year to experience the shopping offerings of the charming small town.

Here in Lancaster County we celebrate the day before Lent begins with fasnachts! Fasnachts are not your typical donut, but donuts that are made with mashed potatoes! They are square in shape, with no hole, filling, frosting, or sprinkles. If you have never tried one, we highly recommend that you do- they are delicious! On Tuesday, February 25, head to Bird-in-Hand Bakery & Cafe or Oregon Dairy for their quick and convenient Fasnacht drive-thru.
