When Can I Visit Lancaster, PA?

We have missed our visitors these past few months. The energy you bring, your reactions the first time you see a horse and buggy, and your excitement about returning soon. Right now, the big question is: “When can I visit Lancaster?”

Lancaster County is currently welcoming visitors! Keep in mind, the Lancaster you would experience today, looks different than months prior. No, you cannot visit our smorgasbords and buggy rides like you typically would (yet), but with a little creativity and willingness to adapt, visitors can experience Lancaster in a new way. We ask that all guests and residents adhere to CDC guidelines during this time.

Our local restaurants are committed to providing safe, clean, and delicious dining experiences for you. Several restaurants have opened their outdoor dining spaces until they are able to welcome you back inside. For carry-out options, view our Supporting Local Restaurants page. Take your to-go meal to a local park to enjoy!

Lancaster County attractions have adapted to entertaining from home. Since we cannot visit in person at this time, learn about Supporting Local Attractions virtually to stay connected and entertained while passing the time. If you're itching to get out, explore Lancaster County while practicing social distancing. Check out The Amish Experience Contactless Farm Tour. Lancaster is also home to a slew of hiking, biking, and walking trails that remain open and be sure to swing by for a socially distant eighteen while you’re in town at one of our miniature or regular golf-courses.

If you need a weekend getaway, you are in luck. Several hotels and bed & breakfasts in Lancaster are currently welcoming guests. Our lodging properties are making strong efforts to ensure their space is safe, clean, and comfortable for all guests.

As you surf our site, you will notice the green “COVID-19 OPEN” flags (pictured below) on several pages. These indicate which businesses are currently open. During this time, it is helpful to call ahead and/or view the properties’ websites and social media pages for more information.

Tourism is a pillar of Lancaster County. We miss you all and are eager for the time when you can experience Lancaster in its full glory. Until then, we welcome you with what we can safely offer at this time. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon!
