Lancaster County Amish Tours
Formerly Gene's Amish Tours
Unlike structured bus tours, I cater to small groups (families, vacationing couples, etc.) that do not wish to be part of a larger group. I can pick you up and drop you off at your location and at the time that best suits you. Best of all, you can spend as long as you'd like at any of my 'featured' stops. While I provide a tour service to authentic working Amish farms, I can also provide transportation to and from various locations such as Sight & Sound Theater, Strasburg Rail Road, Kitchen Kettle Village, restaurants, etc.
As I am a sole proprietor of this service, I encourage advanced booking as not to disappoint potential clients on my availability.

"Gene was great. He could not have been more accommodating. And while I could go on and on, suffice to say that I would have no hesitation in recommending him or engaging his services again. It was a privilege to visit Lancaster and to be introduced to it by someone as respectful and as thoughtful as Gene." - Debbi, Australia
"Last September I traveled to the U.S. with the purpose of visiting some parts of the country and also to visit the Amish community in Lancaster. For that, I contacted to Discover Lancaster to find out what companies could do a tour around the Amish Farmlands. They recommended some of them but I chose Gene's Amish Tours as he does private tours of a minimum of 3 hours. I contacted him straight away but I was a bit concern about how I was going to get to Lancaster. My accommodation were already booked for the outskirts of Lancaster. However, I felt tranquil when Gene explained to me the best way to get to Lancaster, also he was going to take me to the place where I was staying that night. On Saturday, when I arrived to Lancaster Train Station he was there, waiting for me, I recognized him very quick as he looked exactly how he described to me on his previous email. Once in his van, he explained to me the places where we were going to visit and also what there were the differences between the Mennonite and the Amish people. I never thought there were other communities apart from the Amish. Through his tour I learned the way of life they have nowadays; he showed me their farms, churches, schools, shops and much more, and we stopped at a dairy farm where I had the best ice cream I have ever tried. I really enjoyed his tour, I absolutely recommend his services. He is very professional and reliable person with a big heart. Gene, thanks for making my dream come true!" - Sonia
"Over the years we have traveled to many areas, both domestic and international, and have utilized many tour operators. Gene ranks at the top of the list. He is friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and conveys his affection for the Lancaster area. We like the Lancaster area and are returning soon- and using Gene again." - Donna and John
