Great gifts for all the people on your list!
Ten Thousand Villages & Bunyaad Rug Room
Ten Thousand Villages is more than a store. We're a global maker to market movement. We're a way for you to shop with intention for ethically-sourced wares — and to share in the joy of connecting with makers in Ten Thousand Villages.
As a pioneer of fair trade, we do business differently, putting people and planet first. That means you can trust that every handmade purchase you make from us directly impacts the life and community of its maker in a developing country.
Our organization has its roots here in Lancaster County. Our largest store is located in Ephrata and is over 9,000 square feet of handmade items from around the world, including the Bunyaad Rug Room featuring over 1500 hand knotted, heirloom-quality rugs all made by fairly paid adults. Our Ephrata location is perfect for bus groups and motorcoach tours, with ample parking in the rear of the store. To make the shopping experience even more meaningful, schedule a short educational program for your group by one of our passionate staff members who really make our products and fair trade come alive.
We also have two satellite stores in Lancaster County, one located in Rockvale Outlets and another in the Kitchen Kettle Shops.
We invite you to experience Ten Thousand Villages in the county where it all began.
