Pennsylvania’s founding ideology of religious freedom is reflected in the diversity of faiths found in early Lancaster County. Among the many groups, the Ephrata Cloister stood out as the most unique. “What would the neighbors think?” is the question the Historic Ephrata Cloister will ask as history comes to life at the annual Lantern Tours to be held the evenings of December 26 through 29. The tours begin at 6:30 p.m. each night and every half-hour until 8:00 p.m. Advance tickets are required for these tours and will be available beginning December 1st. Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors age 65 and over, $7 for students age 6-18, $5 for youth age 3-5, free for children age 3 and under. No exchanges or refunds.
