Lloyd Mifflin, a 19th century poet and painter from Columbia. He was know as ‘America’s greatest sonneteer’ for writing over 500 poems. His landscape art captured the Susquehanna River and its tributaries, choosing the peacefulness of nature over the noise of the industrial areas. Learn about his life and relationship to the river in this lecture by Dr. Irwin Richman. Richman, Professor Emeritus from Penn State Harrisburg will present this lecture on Thursday, December 13th at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Proceeds benefit Columbia Crossing educaitonal programs.
