A multi-media, modern variety show created in collaboration with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem and featuring the most exciting New York musicians and dancers, Harlem 100 pays homage to the era made famous in the Apollo Theater, the Cotton Club and other celebrated venues of the Harlem Renaissance that hosted legendary artists such as Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Langston Hughes and Billie Holiday. Beginning at 6:45 P.M., a free 20-minute Audience Perspective talk will be given by a professional artist or a university/community scholar to provide insight and perspective related to the performance. Seating is limited and not guaranteed. Early arrival is encouraged. Audio description will be offered for this performance.
