Event Details

Aug 11

Before there were social media sites like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Myspace, there were Ham radios and Morse code. Ray Hershey (W3RSH) and Roger Burkhart (N3GE) will present "Ham Radio: Social Networking Since 1909" and "All About Morse Code" on August 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fasig & Keath Log Houses, located at 30-32 East High Street in Manheim. Hershey and Burkhart will display and demonstrate their equipment between 1 and 4 p.m. Free tours of both colonial log houses are available, as are light refreshments and Manheim souvenirs for sale, all of which help the Manheim Historical Society. Bring your lawn chairs. Free parking in rear of museums.
