Kitchen Kettle Village Annual Rhubarb Festival

In the heart of Lancaster County, we've been celebrating rhubarb for over 40 years. I love this time of year when our village comes alive with the sweet aroma of rhubarb jam bubbling in our kettles. Rhubarb is the harbinger of spring in Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and every year Kitchen Kettle Village pays tribute with a two-day food festival filled with delicious and sometimes zany events.

Activities

There are plenty of activities for young and old, families and couples alike. See the fastest rhubarb cars in the world’s only rhubarb race-car derby. Dance down Pepper Lane to live music and interact with fun entertainers. Pay tribute to our very own Rhubarb King & Queen and much more.

Rhubarb Dessert Contest - Happening again in 2025!

Do you think you have a rhubarb recipe worthy of a prize? Enter next year's Rhubarb Desert Baking Contest in the categories of Rhubarb Pie, Rhubarb Cake & Rhubarb Dessert. All entries must include some form of rhubarb. You may only enter in up to two categories and you are limited to two entries per category for judging. You are only eligible to enter a maximum of four entries for judging, however, you may donate as many pies, cakes, or desserts as you like to raise money for The Lancaster Farmland Trust. $250 goes to the Best of Show Dessert, along with gift certificate prizes of $50 for 1st place, $35 for 2nd place & $25 for 3rd place in each category. Remember...you gotta bake to win!
