Join County Park Naturalists for our annual maple sugaring demonstrations in the sugarbush of Lancaster County Central Park. Register for one of the time slots and join us to learn about and see the process of making maple syrup. The trees will be tapped and sap will be boiled over a fire and camp stove to make syrup. Explore the stages of sap from tree to table while also learning about the history and the science involved in making maple syrup. Maple products will be available to purchase. Private programs, on days other than those listed above, are also available for a small fee. Call (717) 295-2055 to inquire about private programs.
Registration is required. Register online or call (717) 295-2055 to register and prepay by noon on Friday before the program. Free; donations are appreciated and allow us to continue to provide high-quality environmental education programing.
