Songs & Stories of the Revolutionary War

On Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m., at the Manheim Railroad Station Freight Room at 210 South Charlotte St., Manheim, PA, singer, guitarist, and storyteller Matthew Dodd will amuse adults and kids with tales and songs from the American Revolution while dressed in period clothing. There is no cost for entertainment. For more than thirty years, Matthew has performed in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Wearing period attire and telling tales that inspire others' passion for history, he is a natural in front of an audience. The railroad complex, which includes Stiegel-style glass, iron stove plates, railroad offices and waiting areas, a model train exhibit, and a cabin car, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. If the weather permits, there will be trolley trips and a 45-minute walking tour about Manheim's 19th-century Industrial Revolution at 3:10 p.m. Everything is free.
