On October 1, take a special guided tour of Wheatland to learn about the culture of mourning, décor, and how thousands paid their last respects to James Buchanan when he passed on June 1, 1868 at Wheatland.
A House in Mourning, a special guided tour of Wheatland, will be held on Saturday, October 1. Tours will be available on the half hour, beginning at 10am and continuing until the last tour at 3pm. Please Note: These tours are not our regular General Admission tours and are not solely focused on James Buchanan.
