Doug Shaw and Colin Nunemacher, local woodworking artisans, will demonstrate their skills and methods, as well as a display of vintage tools, on Sunday, September 15 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Manheim Railroad Station, situated at 210 South Charlotte St., Manheim. Doug will give a presentation at 2 p.m. about his adventure to acquire vintage tools and their historical purpose. Free tours of the railroad complex, which contains items from Henry W. Stiegel's iron and glassmaking companies, the restored 1881 railway station with men's and women's waiting rooms and offices, and Manheim businesses throughout history. The Birney trolley will be available for rides depending on the weather, as well as walking tours of Manheim's 19th Century Industrial Revolution at 1 and 3 p.m. All are free. Both craftsmen's woodworking crafts are offered for purchase.
