1] The Shop Tour at Strasburg Rail Road
Go behind-the-scenes at Strasburg Rail Road as you tour their mechanical shop. Here you’ll learn how trains are built and refurbished as you make your way around the Shop. For safety reasons, tour-takers must be over the age of 5 years old, and closed toed shoes are required.

2] Amish Farm & House Bus Tour
For a look at the Amish community and surrounding farmland, hop aboard the warm buses of Amish Farm & House. They host their popular bus tour throughout the winter, with the chance to see the farmland covered in snow while learning more about Lancaster.


3] Indian Echo Caverns
Even winter is a great time to visit Indian Echo Caverns as the caverns are always 52 degrees. Explore these geological wonders during the 45-minute tour.

4] Herr’s Snack Factory Tour

9] Beer & Distillery Tours
Warm up with a pint of beer or a cocktail and learn about how the goods are made at some of Lancaster’s staple breweries and distilleries. Lancaster Brewing Company holds tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM. You can also check out the space shared by Wacker Brewing Company and Thistle Finch Distillery, and learn more about how Thistle Finch is making tasty whiskey, gin and vodka on Saturdays and Sundays.

10] New Holland Haytools Factory Tour
For those with a specific interest in farm tools and tractors, head over to the New Holland Haytools Factory, where you can tour the facility on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Since this is an active manufacturing plant, they ask that tour-takers be over the age of 12, and all guests should wear closed-toed shoes.
