Speedwell Forge Bed and Breakfast

Built in 1760 and restored in 2006, this Lancaster County landmark offers three comfortable but elegant guest rooms and two private cottages, all with private bath and central air. All rooms are decorated with antique furniture, hardwood floors and Amish quilts, and most rooms feature fireplaces and whirlpool baths. Both cottages have their own kitchenette, perfect for extended stays and family vacations. All rooms have a lovely view of the surrounding farm, woodlands or creek. We'll start your day right with strong coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, fresh-baked bread and a three-course breakfast. We'll end your day with decadent home-made desserts.

The common areas include a parlor with a 1933 upright piano, and a library with cable TV and movies all available for guest use.

Hidden in a secluded valley on a 120-acre farm, Speedwell Forge is the perfect place to get away from it all, yet only minutes from the historic towns of Lititz, Manheim, and the rest of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Surrounded by a lake and a natural park, Speedwell Forge is perfect for hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, and birding. On our property is Wolf Sanctuary of PA, home of the Speedwell wolves.
