(Lancaster, Pa.) Based on extensive research since the spring of 2013, we have worked hard to broaden visitor perceptions of Lancaster with our current marketing theme of “everything you expect & everything you didn’t.”
We have been steadily spreading this broader message through our creative advertising spots that started in summer 2013, the new Getaway Guide at the beginning of 2014, and a transformed website that launched in June 2014.
Now, our organization is taking the next step in its brand evolution, with a new name: Discover Lancaster.
Unlike our current name, Discover Lancaster doesn’t pigeonhole us, and isn’t confusing & bureaucratic. Instead, it will allow us to establish a long-term, emotional brand that dovetails perfectly with our mission: encouraging people to discover all that Lancaster has to offer – the Amish and beyond.
The roll-out of Discover Lancaster begins today, with the change-over to the new website URL, the debut of our 2015 Getaway Guide and Group Planning Guide (both with our new logo), new email addresses for staff, and a re-branding of the Visitors Center with new signage.
Lancaster County is a wonderful blend of urban style and rural splendor, and Discover Lancaster is dedicated to promoting its many rich cultures, from the Amish to the arts.
