Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Association
Located on 33 acres in Lancaster County, Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Association brings America’s mechanical past roaring back to life. This volunteer-run museum is packed with antique tractors, steam engines, vintage autos, and working equipment - all of it lovingly restored and, best of all, still running. During special events, visitors can catch live demonstrations, ride full-size and miniature trains, and experience the daily Parade of Power, where historic machines roll by under their own steam and gas power.
Whether you're watching a sawmill in action, riding the Shay Railroad, or chatting with passionate volunteers who keep it all going, Rough and Tumble offers a hands-on history experience like no other. Don’t miss their annual event, the Threshermen’s Reunion, held every August - it's the 2nd oldest show in the country!
