MLK Days
January 19, 2026
12:00 PM
–4:00 PM
For the iconic civil rights advocate, music and social justice went hand in hand. In his 1964 book, Why We Can’t Wait, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. discussed the important role that music played during Civil Rights rallies, calling songs “the soul of the movement.”
Join us as we celebrate Dr. MLK Jr.'s legacy with daytime train rides recounting some of MLK’s greatest speeches and a concert that will highlight songs recorded to be favorites of Dr. King. Our celebration concert features the sounds of "T.H.E.M. The Collective" along with “Music for Everyone" Community Chorus and students of the Wehye Vocal Studio.
You don’t want to miss this afternoon of great music, fun fellowship, and delicious food!
