Preserving Family Heirlooms

Event Details

Apr 21

Ever wonder how to keep Nana's wedding gown, Great Grandpa's military uniform, or those old photographs passed down through the generations? The Manheim Historical Society is happy to have Aimee Caya, Director of Library and Research Services at LancasterHistory, explain the best and most cost-effective strategies for conserving your family antiques. The lecture will start at 2:15 p.m. and last an hour at the Manheim Railroad Station, which is also conducting its first Open House of the 2024 season from 1 to 4 p.m. Join us in the museum to see Manheim's founder Henry W. Stiegel's ironwork and glassworks. Explore our 1881 railroad station. Ride the trolley (weather permitting). Visit Stiegel Glassworks 1976, where they will demonstrate hand-crafted art glass. We're also honoring the Society's sixty-year anniversary with refreshments.
