Lancaster Symphony Orchestra
Currently in its 70th season, the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra is a 70-member professional orchestra conducted under the baton of Maestro Stephen Gunzenhauser, Music Director of the Lancaster Symphony.
Part of the Symphony’s mission statement is also fulfilled through its nationally recognized Sound Discovery Community Engagement Programs, whose purpose is to engage, build, and strengthen our community through imaginative and unique musical experiences. The Sound Discovery program has enabled the Symphony to impact over 8,500 students annually in Lancaster.
Lancaster Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1947 by Frederic S. Klein and John H. Peifer, J., from Franklin & Marshall College.
