On First Friday, April 5, “Organic Reflections”, a free, 30 minute concert will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the dedication of the vintage 1958 analog Allen organ at First Reformed Church, 40 E Orange Street in downtown Lancaster. The concert begins at 8 PM. This month organist Larry Hershey will be playing music by the same composers selected by the late virtuoso organist, Virgil Fox, for the April 1, 1959 dedicatory concert. Invite someone to join you to hear 30 minutes of classical organ music that will refresh your soul and inspire your spirit. The First Friday “Organic Reflections” series is a gift to the Lancaster community from First Reformed Church, a center city congregation of the United Church of Christ. Only 30 minutes in length, the free concerts begin at 8 PM each First Friday for the convenience of those who wish to spend the early evening visiting downtown galleries before the concert. Doors open at 7:30 pm.
