Manheim Township Earth Day Festival
April 25, 2026
Join the Manheim Township community as we come together to celebrate Earth Day at MT Earth Fest on Saturday, April 25th, at Overlook Park and Activity Center. This FREE, rain-or-shine event promises a day full of fun, education, and sustainability for the whole family.
MT Earth Fest is a collaboration between Manheim Township School District, the Manheim Township Recreation Department, The Lancaster Native Plant and Wildlife Festival, and the founder of Earth 2 E-Town.
“MT Earth Fest combines the work of both previous festivals but with the added focus of providing Manheim Township students with the opportunity to showcase their learning, serve their community, and support their planet in many different ways,” said Manheim Township Art Teacher, Kelsey Grove.
This exciting event will offer an engaging mix of activities and entertainment for all ages.
Explore a variety of native plants that can enhance your garden and support local wildlife, and learn from experts about conservation, sustainability, and ways to make a positive impact on our planet. Attendees will also meet and learn about local wildlife through engaging presentations, browse unique, eco-friendly goods from talented artisans, and experience hands-on fun for young environmentalists.
Kids’ activities include a scavenger hunt and PA native animals’ presentation. Manheim Township High School students will be playing music at 8:30am, Raven Ridge Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will present at 9am, Manheim Township Teacher, Mr. G, will play kids’ songs from 10:15-10:45am, and the rest of the festival will feature various environmental speakers including a presentation about Manheim Township Compost Park at 11am.
“This is a great opportunity for the citizens of Manheim Township and beyond to learn more about the many native plant, gardening, and wildlife experts at the festival. All speakers and activities are completely free, and no registration is required,” said Environmental Education Program Manager, Alex Van Pelt.
Free parking is available throughout the Overlook Park Complex. The festival takes place rain or shine.
