Lititz Springs Restaurant
14 East Main Street Lititz, PA 17543
The coolest event of the season.
Downtown Lititz knows the early winter months of the year can be cold and bleak, and everyone needs some excitement. For the last 15 years, on Presidents’ Day Weekend, Lititz, PA has hosted the Lititz Fire & Ice event. With the pandemic, the difficult decision to cancel this event has been made. However, Downtown Lititz still wants to offer a break from cabin fever and allow folks the opportunity to safely get out and still enjoy the artistic work of DiMartino Ice Company.
In 2021, Venture Lititz will host the Lititz Ice Walk. The event has been extended to eight days, kicking off on February 12th and concluding on February 20th. Over 50 ice sculptures will be put on display all around Main and Broad Street, some will be out at the beginning of the event and more will be added every couple of days. Ice will be on display all 9 days, so be sure to come back throughout the event to see what is new!
Due to the pandemic, the streets will not be blocked off, and there will be no food trucks or live entertainment. The Lititz Lions’ Club is unable to host their carnival, chili cook-off and vendor fair. The Lititz Ice Walk is a reimagined event that allows for a safe, family-friendly fun for our community and visitors.
The Lititz shops and restaurants have worked hard over the last year to offer a safe, sanitized, and masked experience for both shopping and dining. This event will encourage our visitors to follow these same steps, wear a mask, socially distance and sanitize hands. Shop at Olio Olive Oil & Balsamics, visit Atlas General Store and Sweet Legacy Gourmet for tasty ingredients and treats to take home with you. Visit Bunyaad Fair Trade Rugs at their new Downtown Lititz location. Looking for Lititz themed goodies? The Tattered Shirt has a variety of offerings. And don’t forget to pick up your Wilbur Buds from the Wilbur Chocolate Store!
In 2020, Lititz welcomed a number of new businesses to our downtown. Visit your long-time favorites such as the Bulls Head Public House and the newly renamed Lititz Springs Restaurant. Check out our newest additions such as Tied House Lititz for locally brewed St. Boniface Craft Beer and amazing food. Given the limits on dining, we highly suggest reservations.
We invite visitors to view the ice sculptures, peruse shops, and dine at local restaurants downtown. While you wait for your table, visit the gorgeous Lititz Springs Park for a nice stroll or for your kiddos to exert some energy. Another great outdoor spot is the new Tree House Playground. This community designed playground is a place where children of all abilities can play safely.
A special event is taking place during the Lititz Ice Walk! Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, the first commercial pretzel bakery in America, will be hosting a book signing on Saturday, February 13th. The book Twisted tells the tale of America’s first family of pretzels. Jill Sturgis Thomas, the great, great granddaughter of Julius Sturgis, will be at the Bakery from 11am – 4:30pm signing her book! Be sure to stop by before or after your tour of the bakery.
Stay overnight in Lititz at The Wilbur Tapestry, Hotel Rock Lititz, Lititz Springs Inn & Spa, Holiday Inn Express & Suites or the Lititz House Bed & Breakfast for easy access to the festivities. If you’re a local, this is the perfect time to take a staycation! There’s plenty to do in Lancaster once you’ve completed your Ice Walk Experience. Visit the small town of Manheim, just a short drive away, to shop small at the Prussian Street Arcade or find indoor adventure at Spooky Nook Sports. Just North of Lititz, the historic town of Ephrata is home to the nationally renowned Fox Meadows Creamery and quaint bed & breakfasts like the Historic Smithton Inn and The Hertzog Homestead. Book your stay today!
This year’s event will look different than year’s past, however, the town is eager to safely welcome guests to the Lititz Ice Walk. Wear your mask, keep a safe social distance from others and be sure to share some goodness with all that you meet.
