Julia Swartz Gallery
Julia Swartz, a lifetime resident of Lancaster County Pennsylvania, has always had an eye for things of beauty. Even when she was a little girl, she would borrow her mother's oil paints and begin developing her skills in applying paint to canvas. While going through grade school and high school, Julia took advantage of every art course offered. Thereafter, she continued to develop her artist gift by taking art lessons, weekend workshops, and classes at the Lancaster Art Association. Many, many art magazines and art books also played a part, and family vacations often include stops at art galleries and museums.
Since 2003, Julia has exhibited and sold her work in over 50 juried art exhibitions and won numerous awards. In the spring of 2007, Julia beautifully renovated the second floor of one of the oldest buildings in Lancaster, right on Gallery Row. The 1600 square foot gallery is the new home for her paintings and studio where she paints.
Several hundred paintings await your viewing pleasure on her website or in her gallery.
