The North Museum is the first museum in the world to have a 41 foot Spitz cove-mounted SciDome XD Touch system. With our new SciDome XD Touch system, our educators can spark your students’ interest and give them a personalized, interactive and fully immersive introduction to astronomy, earth sciences, or meteorology, using incredible imagery and animations. The North Store
Treat your inner scientist to a gift or souvenir from the Museum shop, the North Store. From crystal growing kits to rocks, fossils and minerals, to authentic scale replicas of the Carnegie Museum dinosaur collection, there’s something here for every junior scientist. Members receive a 10% discount off purchases at The North Store.
Hours and Admission<
The Museum is open Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday noon to 5 pm. Group and student tours are available weekdays; advanced registration is required.
Admission to the Museum is $9.00 for adults, and $8.00 for juniors (ages 3-17) and seniors (65 and over). SciDome Theater shows are an additional $4 to the price of admission or $7 for adults and $6 for children and seniors for a SciDome Theater Only ticket. The Museum is free for children two and under.

Memorial Day through Labor Day: Through the Blue Star Museum program, active-duty military including National Guard and Reserve and their families receive free general admission to the North Museum.General admission is free to all active-duty military personnel and up to five additional family members (includes spouses, children, grandparents, aunts and uncles.) Current military ID required. An active-duty military member is not required to be present for his or her family to enjoy the benefits of this program. Family members must present a DD Form 1173 ID Card or DD Form 1173-1 ID card at the time of admission.
