Buses and cars cannot take you where our buggies take you - through the dirt fields where they Amish are working. Travel the way the Amish do in a horse and buggy.
We are located on Route 896 right across the street from Sight & Sound Theatre. Come with us on a 3-mile tour through historic Amish farm lands. This tour takes about 35 to 40 minutes. Another tour to consider is our Farm Tour that stops on a real Amish farm. On this tour you are invited to get off the buggy at the farm and see and learn about the Amish lifestyle from our Amish and Mennonite tour guide drivers and visit the owner's craft shop. This ride takes a minumum of one hour. Experience the beautiful and unforgettable Pennsylvania Dutch country landscape, while watching the everyday routine of the Amish through hilly back roads in an authentic Amish buggy.
We travel only scenic back roads and do not take you on any heavily traveled main roads. As your buggy from Ed's Buggy Rides makes its way through the cornstalks, memories of scenes from the movie "Witness" -- filmed in Lancaster County, PA -- will be abundant. Before or after your ride, be sure to allow time to enjoy our petting zoo.
Open: Year round including Sundays; daily 9am to closing (at least until sunset).
Closed: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Day. Sleigh rides available if it snows!
We are located directly across from Sight & Sound Theatres.
We have been in business since 1982 and are here to make your visit an enjoyable one. Come ride with us!
Now you can visit six great attractions in historic Strasburg, Pennsylvania when you purchase the convenient Strasburg Passport. It's a great value! And, you don't have to visit all six attractions on the same day! So relax and enjoy while you experience the real Lancaster County.
