Hundreds of colorfully-costumed characters breathe life into musical performances, magic acts, fire-breathing stunts, puppet shows, and Shakespearean plays. Other classic fall events include Harvest Breakfast at Lancaster Central Market (Oct. 4), Harvest Days at Landis Valley Village (Oct. 11-12), Fall ArtWalk in Lancaster City (Oct. 18-19), and the 1940s Swing Dance at the RR Museum of PA (Nov. 1, held in conjunction with its Trains & Troops weekend).

Want to get your scare on? Your haunting won’t go wanting at Jason’s Woods. For a little less maniacal fright, walk along with the Ghost Tours of Lancaster or Strasburg, or ride along with a Spooky Scoot tour from Strasburg Scooters or on all the attractions during “Happy Hauntings” at Dutch Wonderland amusement park.
