THERE’S A NEW TYPE OF SOFT PRETZEL BAKERY IN TOWN.
Intercourse Pretzel Company introduces a new twist on an old standard. We are a working pretzel bakery in the heart of Amish Country. Visit us for a Signature Soft Pretzel and beer mustard, wash it down with a Sprecher draft root beer or just stop by to say "hi" to Lancaster County’s newest pretzel bakers. Plus we've got Sprecher specialty bottled sodas and The Gerhart Coffee Company coffee to boot.
Sure, we use a simple and traditional recipe with the highest-quality ingredients, but our pretzels are anything but ordinary. In the true Bavarian fashion, Intercourse pretzels are tangy with a classic bronze sheen and unlike any other soft pretzel you’ll taste in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.
We realize this is may be a bold claim in Lancaster County, but we think your new favorite soft pretzel has just arrived.
Intercourse Pretzels were actually born in York County, Snack Food Capital of the World. This region is a part of who we are as people, and it is a part of our pretzels.
York City Pretzel Company opened their doors as a soft pretzel bakery at 39 West Market Street in downtown York on December 5, 2014. Since that time, we've grown the business to include wholesale soft pretzel and pretzel roll sales and production of seasoned hard pretzel pieces.
Less than three months after opening, the restaurant-rating service Zagat claimed that York City Pretzel Company’s “signature twists alone are almost worth the trip out” from Philadelphia. Now Philadelphians will only have to make the trip to Intercourse, PA for what Zagat calls, “a true Bavarian pretzel.”
Visiting Central Pennsylvania for two days? Take a drive to our original location in historic downtown York--just 30 miles from Intercourse!
