Every June, at the oldest farmers’ market in America, the brick streets just outside the almost 300-year-old building flaunt Lancaster’s delicious produce, talented culinary minds, and creative vendors at their annual Strawberry Festival.
A new addition to the Lancaster annual festival lineup, the strawberry-themed event will host its 6th annual event in 2027. As it continues to grow and feature new experiences and new foods, it continues to prove itself as a downright strawberry explosion!
Don’t miss out on all the fun. Check out the Strawberry Festival!
Second Saturday in June | 8 AM - 12 PM
Lancaster Central Market | 23 North Market Street
No tickets are needed to enter the Strawberry Festival! Come as you are, ready to eat! Keep in mind that though admission is free, the event has pay-per-stand vendors within the festival itself. Additionally, local crafts and artists will be on display with goods for purchase.
Food Vendors: Throughout the event, several food vendors take their own spin on a strawberry-inspired recipe, whether that's a chocolate-covered strawberry delight, strawberry jam, or even strawberry shortcake pierogi.
Live Music: The Central Market invites local performers to serenade guests with top hits, indie classics, and original work. It’s not just an event platforming the artistry in food, but a showcase of community artists, too!
Kids Activities: Previous festivals have featured face painting and dish decorating, but stay tuned for what’s in store for this year’s festival!
Arts & Crafts: Among the food vendors will also be local artists with their strawberry-inspired merch, decor, and more! Shop locally in more than just produce and support Lancaster’s own!
Pie-Eating Contest: Every year, the festival hosts a strawberry pie-eating contest. The no-hands-allowed competition welcomes competitors to their table with the chance to win the coveted pie-eating trophy.
