School's out, Lancaster fun is in!
Signs of summer are popping up across Lancaster County. From fun with the kids now that school is out to spending time outdoors in the warm sunshine, here are some exciting events and things to do in Lancaster this month.
Spend the Day out with Thomas at Strasburg Rail Road June 18 – 20. Book your tickets in advance for your full 45-minute ride aboard Thomas the Tank Engine!
Visit the Country Barn on June 5 & 6 for the annual Strawberry Festival! This family-friendly event will feature farm activities, live music, tractors, duck races and strawberry flavored treats.
Flinchbaugh’s Orchard and Farm Market welcomes kids ages 2-6 every Wednesday 9am – 9:30am & 10am – 10:30am starting June 16 for Farm Tales. Participants will enjoy story time, a snack, and farm activity. Sign your little one up today – time slots are limited to 18 kids.
Live Music Galore
Outdoor music performances are plentiful in June, and what better time to enjoy the warm summer air and toe-tapping tunes.
Prima Theatre presents Queen/Journey on June 11, 12 18 & 19 at 8pm. The live, outdoor concert occurs on a portable stage that brings the music to life. You won’t want to miss your favorite songs like “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Get your tickets today!
Enjoy an outdoor concert and ice cold brew at The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey this summer. They have their Decked Out Live event every Friday evening, all summer long, which features live bands, wine and beer. Minors are not permitted.

The small town of Manheim kicks-off it’s first ever 1st Thursday celebration on June 3. Head to Manheim between 5pm – 8pm for live music, outdoor vendors, food trucks and special events.

Celebrate in the City
As a celebration of culture and diversity in the growing City of Lancaster, Celebrate Lancaster will take place on Friday, June 25. Head downtown for mobile live music performances in every neighborhood, food trucks and a firework show to cap off the night!
The Lancaster Barnstormers kick off their 2021 season on Friday, June 4th at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The game will pay a special tribute to Lancaster’s Healthcare Heroes. Be sure to get to the park early because the first 1,000 fans ages 16+ get a free t-shirt. Fans will enjoy a firework show at the end of the game too!
African American Heritage Walking Tours in the City of Lancaster will resume Saturday, June 5 at 11 and 2 PM. Groups are formed at City of Lancaster Visitor Center 30 to 15 minutes before departure. Join Mount Hope Estate on June 12 for their annual Brewfest! Try beers from all around the country, shop from unique merchants and enjoy delicious food. Tickets must be purchased in advance for either 11am – 3pm or 4:30pm – 8pm.
Get a Taste of Lititz June 4 – 13. Dine and try specials at your favorite local restaurants as you explore the “coolest small town in America”. Live music, boutique and vintage shopping and the verdant Lititz Springs Park await!
