Can you believe it is prime pumpkin picking season again?! We are loving the cooler temps and boots and scarves weather. As you drive around Lancaster, you’ve probably noticed that the roadside stands have switched over from their summer strawberries and melons to fall’s apples, pumpkins and squash. Whether you’re picking up a pumpkin at a roadside stand or headed out into the field to find the perfect one, we’re here to help.

Below is a roundup of Lancaster-area pumpkin patches, as well as some local choices for roadside stands. Please remember to call ahead if you have concerns about the weather or possible closings. We hope your fall is off to a fantastic start, and happy pumpkin patching!

Pick Your Own Pumpkins

Brecknock Orchard

Starting in September and going through November, you can head out to the northern end of our county to pick out fun pumpkins to carve, display, or eat with the family! After picking your own pumpkins, you can head over to their farmer's market to grab some fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, canned goods, baking mixes, eggs, apple cider, local honey, and so much more.

Cherry Crest Adventure Farm

Pick all types, sizes, and colors of pumpkins this fall with Cherry Crest Adventure Farm! Their pumpkin patch opens in mid-September and closes at the end of October. At the end of the pumpkin picking season, on November 4th, you can join Cherry Crest for pumpkin madness where you can bowl, drop, throw, and smash leftover pumpkins!

Corn Cob Acres

Pick out your perfect pumpkin, with sizes small to large you'll be sure to find the perfect size for anywhere you desire. Once you are done pumpkin picking be sure to check out what else Corn Cob Acres has to offer. They have lots of activities for any member of the family to enjoy.

Country Barn

On weekends September 9th through October 29th at Barnyard Kingdom, take a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch and find your pumpkins among the 10 acres full of them. If you don't feel like picking yourself, you can find pumpkins in the farm market too!

Kauffman Orchards

Pet the orchard's goats, bring a picnic for the family, take a wagon ride, and pick your favorite pumpkins mid-September through October at Kauffman Orchards!

Masonic Village Farm Market

Enjoy picking pumpkins and apples at the Masonic Village Farm Market! Pumpkins are only available for picking on specific dates.

Oregon Dairy

Join Oregon Dairy for Pumpkin Pickin' Days this fall! Explore just the pumpkin patch, or an all inclusive ticket will get you into the maze, a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, unlimited rides, games, and tons of fun activities around the farm!

Flinchbaugh's Orchards

Pick Jack-O-Lantern, white, and neck pumpkins of assorted sizes this fall at Flinchbaugh's! You can also enjoy a corn maze, straw bale jungle gym, and more farm fun while you visit.

Schopf Brothers Farm

Schopf Brothers Farm offers a wide array of options, from gourds and pumpkins to mums, planters, corn shocks, and straw bales. Mix and match pumpkins for a unique display. Our farms also have retail items and pumpkin carving tools for added fun!
