Pocket Books is thrilled to invite you to an evening at Zoetropolis exploring the horrific beauty of 'beauty horror,' a subgenre that merges glamour and the grotesque to examine our culture's obsession with aesthetic perfection. Join us at 6pm for a talk with horror maven Alma Katsu, whose new book Incarnate offers a terrifying reimagining of The Picture of Dorian Gray for the internet age. You won't want to miss our talk, followed by audience q&a and a book signing. At 7:30pm, we'll enjoy a screening of Coralie Fargeat's celebrated 2024 film The Substance.
We will have books available for purchase at the event, but attendees are encouraged to order in advance!
