Rock legends ZZ Top have been delivering their signature blend of blues, boogie, and hard rock for over half a century. Formed in Houston in 1969 by Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard, the band rose to national prominence with Tres Hombres and the enduring hit “La Grange,” before reaching global superstardom with 1983’s Eliminator and iconic tracks like “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs.”
Famed for their unmistakable look—long beards, hot rods, and spinning guitars—ZZ Top became one of MTV’s defining acts while staying true to their deep blues roots. Their influences span legends like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and Jimi Hendrix, shaping a sound that is both timeless and instantly recognizable.
With millions of records sold, decades of worldwide touring, and an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Keith Richards, ZZ Top remains one of the most enduring forces in rock. Following the passing of Dusty Hill, longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis stepped in on bass, helping carry the band’s legacy forward.
Still going strong, ZZ Top continues to bring their trademark groove, grit, and swagger to audiences everywhere—driven by their enduring mantra: “Tone, Taste, and Tenacity.”
