Food-filled attractions in Lancaster County give kids the opportunity to learn more about how their favorite snacks and sweets are made. They can even make their own treats! Kids can try their hand at pretzel twisting at Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, and learn about candy making at Wilbur Chocolate Store & Candy Museum. Both attractions are located within walking distance of each other in Lititz. For a cool treat, learn more about the art of ice cream making at Turkey Hill Experience, where kids can create and enjoy their own ice cream flavor in the Taste Lab.
For the aspiring arts, find your way out of the rain and into one of Lancaster's creative spaces, including pottery studios, a bead shop and studio, and guided art classes. Kids can pick and paint their own pottery masterpiece at The Pottery Works in Downtown Lancaster, or create a canvas masterpiece with a guided art class at Painting with a Twist. For those looking to create a wearable work of art, make sure to include a trip to the BeadWorks and Gem Den.
